A SWEET Career....

Guess who is going to be a ....... Yesterday was my first day of school at

SCOTTSDALE CULINARY INSTITUTE

where I am receiving special

training.... :)

There are not very many schools in the U.S. that offer Le Cordon Bleu training so I am so excited that AZ is the home of one of the finest culinary schoos around! I started on Monday and absolutley LOVE it!! I can't wait for all the great things we are going to learn. I will keep you updated with pics of all the yummy things we create!!

P.S. The house is doing AWESOME!! We got our living room all painted and it is so stinkin cute!

Theres no place like Home!!

Friday July 17th was a fun day for us!! We started out the day by going to our final walk through at our home at 9 a.m.!! This is us with the building Superintendent!! Our Realator kortne was there also!! :)
After that we headed over to Scottsdale to sign the Paperwork!!!

We were having so much fun!!

This was the title company where we signed the papers to own our first home!! We officially own it and our married to our first mortgage!! lol :) We got done signing the papers at about 12:30 in the afternoon and then we headed to the apartment to start packing our stuff! We were on cloud 9 and not even the hot weather could stp us! At 4 they called us and told us that everything had been recorded with the county and that it was officially ours!! So we headed over to the house to get OUR keys!! We have never had a better feeling than accomplishing this together!! It was awesome!! So we drove over and got the keys and the rest is history.......

Yes, we are seriously this dorky! We were jumping and dancing when we got our keys! We got alot of funny pics from it but this is the funniest by far!! We were a little excited!! Michael unlocking the door to OUR house!!

The first night in our house we had no blinds up or anything!! You never notice what a nice thing blinds are until you don't have them... lol! We moved Friday night after we got our keys! We are SO lucky because we had our BEST friends and my parents come and help us move! Our Best friends Michael and Nicole (yes they have the same names as us, and even creepier the same careers...lol we are so meant to be!!) came with a truck and a trailer and helped us move! My parents were also there! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!! So with 2 trucks a trailer and 2 cars and 115 degree weather we got moved!! Im so bummed I didnt get a pic of all of us together but it got kind of hectic and late so ofcoarse I didnt get one :( ... So after getting everything over here we ended up going straight to bed because we were tired!! The next morning we were up bright and early thanks to the bright az sun and no blinds.. lol and started right away on projects!!

Our first project was the outside lights we bought for each side of the garage!! They are so cute

Later that morning my parents and my brother Danny showed up and we worked all day changing out lights to the decorative ones we bought and installing ceiling fans and blinds!!

My mom saved me with my blinds... you never realize how tired it would make your arms and neck to do that many blinds!! Thanks Mama!!

So thats our story of our first home!! This was us right after we left the office from signing the papers! I don't think you could of wiped the smiles off of our faces if you wanted to!! We our loving the house and have lots of painting and projects going on!! We will keep you updated!!

To a HUGE moving party TOMORROW!!! lol j/k!! It will be smokin hot at 115 degrees, but its totally gonna be worth it!! :)We will sign the papers at 11 a.m. tomorrow (friday) and will officially own our first home!! :) We can not wait! We are all packed and ready to move!! Can you believe it is done!!! My parents helped us build the island for our kitchen, a benchseat and some other cabinets to match what we already have!! Pics of it done will be coming soon!! Here is Michael laquering some of the cabinets!!

Paint, Cabinets, Doors and moldings.... AHHH :)

An update on the house, it is coming together!! We have alot going on with it right now, and we are about a month out for it being DONE!! The walls were taped and textured!! They are now painted and all finished!

They started putting cabinets in!! (That was a scrub top I wore to work that day, I dont always dress that dorky... lol)

This is our front door!! It is an 8 ft door and will be painted a dark brown maroony color!! LOVE IT!

This is with the roof all done! The front door is the same color as the roof tiles! They also poured our driveway and sidewalk!! And the fence around the backyard is done!!

1 more month and we can call it home!! We can't wait!! We have found so many things on clearance for our house and we cant wait to get started!! My favorite deal so far is a $400 Chandalier for $50!! Its perfect!! So Flooring, landscaping and countertops are the 3 big things left so we will keep you updated!!

The Wouters Casa!

Our Casa is making progress!! We are about 5 weeks out! :) Here are some pics from the last week or 2.... We have insulation

Then came the Dry wall!! It is all taped and mudded at this point! They will do the texture and paint next week!!

And it is Stuccoed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They put the 2nd coat on Yesterday! They will start painting the outside and get the roof done!

We are so excited and can't wait!! My next post will show all the things we have bought for our house on clearance the last few months!! It is so fun to have a house to spend money on! :)

Why I love you SO much!

So the week has been crazy! But my husband came home with these Saturday night .......

It was called the crazy bouquet... and it fit our week perfect! They are so pretty and they already make our new messy apartment feel more like a home! You really know just what to do honey! I love you!The white flowers were my favrite! They are so cool! I love you Michael!!

*House update... We have insulation and drywall!! :) So close!! They are stuccoing the outside! I have pics on my camera... but I cant find it right now so i'll post them later!

The good vs. the bad... The REALLY BAD!!

So we have alot to update!! Some really great stuff and then some really crappy stuff going on lately... so lets start with the bad, get it out of the way! So we have been up at my parents house for the last week and a half helping them redo their kitchen... after a week and a half we were so excited to come home and relax... but instead we came home to this........ The water line in the apartment above our apartment broke during the week, but we were gone and no one lives above us, so the whole ceiling of our apartment was dripping water!!!
Everything was soaked with rusty moldy water....yuk!

The ceiling was falling off... when we opened the door the humidity was crazy! It smells so so so so so so so so so bad.....

It must have broke the day we left because there was mold on the walls and the water damage was everywhere

So we had to move today! The apartment is not livable so they transferred us to another apartment... we only have 6 weeks left on our lease, so talk about a pain in the booty to have to move all our stuff now and again in six weeks!! Alot of our stuff is soaked, and we threw alot of stuff away, but luckily for us all of our big electronics like our tv and computer are fine!! We are so lucky!! I was so stressed when we walked in and saw it.. but lucky for me my sister came up to the valley this morning and help me sort everything and get me moved!! I love you Lu!! You kept me sane!!

So moving past that!!! Here are some pics of the remodel of my parents kitchen! It was alot of work but we learned a ton!

They got their new cabinets in today!! And the appliances!! its going to look awesome!

This is what her kitchen looked like before.... we extended it out 3 feet and her new cabinets are mahagony!! I worked all week with my mom on the cabinets! It was so awesome to hang out with all the fam for a whole week and a half!

Now on to our casa!!!! The finish date has been moved up to July 16th!!! We only have 6 weeks to go!!
